Overview

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Founder LC Private Limited ("Founder LC", "Company", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects the personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") you ("User", "you" or "your") share and provide to us. We have designed this Policy in consonance with the legal provisions enacted by the Government of India. By using the Services, you consent to the privacy practices described in this Policy.

This Policy applies only in relation to personal information obtained by us from our users in the course of their usage of our services. Any information that is available or accessible in the public domain, or furnished under any law, will not be regarded as personal information for the purposes of this Policy and is not subject to the protections set out here. This includes, but is not restricted to, information shared on public sections of social media websites, blogs and discussion boards. You share such information at your own risk.

This Policy is subject to change without prior notice, so we recommend that you review it periodically.

What data we collect

We may collect personal information from you when you opt to use our Services. This is anything that could be used to identify you, and related information.

User profile information

Where you register for our services, we collect some or all of the following with your knowledge and consent: identity information, including sex, age and marital status; contact information, including email address, postal address, photograph, educational qualifications, information about your job or business and phone number; social networking information, including publicly available information about your preferences and contacts, where a service is aligned with a platform such as Google or LinkedIn; and user ID information, including usernames, passwords and, where you choose to pay for a service, financial account details and other security-related information. It may also include other demographic information where that is relevant to a service you have requested, and the content of your communications with us, including recordings of phone calls where permitted by law.

Information we collect automatically

We collect information about your use of our services and your interactions with us. This includes your activity on our website; your interactions with our emails, texts, chat and messaging; details of your interactions with our team, such as the date, time and reason for contacting us; your phone number and call recordings if you call us; device identifiers; and standard web server log information such as IP address and browser type.

Usage information

We use our systems to securely store and keep track of your account history, including billing information, communications, payment history and transactional history, excluding banking details except as stored with your consent; service usage data; and information which you create or wish to store on our servers, such as documents and image files. These records are maintained in encrypted form on secure servers.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind, and stores nothing on your device. Nothing here follows you to other websites. Where a Founder LC service you have signed up to uses cookies to keep you signed in or to remember your preferences, we will tell you at the point you use it, and you can set your browser to notify you when a cookie is sent so you can choose whether to accept it.

Why we collect and use personal information

We collect personal information about our users to the extent, and for the purpose, that it enables us to conduct our business and to deliver and improve our services. By accepting our Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge and agree to our collection, storage and use of your personal information as described in this Policy. We collect, retain and use information for the following reasons:

  • To comply with our obligations under law.
  • To manage our relationship with you.
  • To provide services in a reliable and efficient manner.
  • To compile statistical and demographic profiles for our business and marketing activities, using certain kinds of information in aggregate form.
  • To develop new features and improve the service.
  • To support subsequent customer service enquiries.
  • To improve the safety and security of the service.

We will not use your personal information for any purpose other than those stated above without obtaining your prior written consent.

Where we have procured an element of our services from a third party service provider, you agree to our disclosing your personal information to that provider, only to the extent necessary and solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

While we take all reasonable measures to protect your privacy on our systems and website, we will not be liable for any unauthorised or unlawful use of personal information by third parties, such as other websites linked to ours, which are not controlled by us. Please remember that the privacy policies of our business partners, sponsors and linked websites may differ from ours. We may disclose information described in this Policy where it is compiled in an anonymous, aggregated form that cannot be used to identify any user.

If we are required to intercept, monitor, store or disclose personal information by law, to conduct our business, to secure our systems or to enforce our own rights, we will ensure this is done in a manner consistent with law. Such interception, disclosure, monitoring and storage may take place without your knowledge. To ensure that all our users comply with our Terms and Conditions, we may monitor your personal information to the extent required to determine compliance or to identify instances of non-compliance, and to safeguard the security and integrity of our services.

We may disclose personal information in other circumstances with your consent. If you have given consent for us to use your personal information in a particular way but later change your mind, contact us and we will stop.

International transfers

Some of our users are citizens of countries other than India. As a result, your personal information may be collected, used, disclosed, stored and processed outside your country of residence for the purposes described in this Policy, and you consent to that transfer. For other jurisdictions, we will only transfer your personal information to a third party in a country which has equivalent privacy laws, where we have your consent, or where we have otherwise taken reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach those laws.

We handle your information in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can contact the Data Protection Board of India at www.meity.gov.in, or lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for data protection in your country of residence.

Security

Personal information is maintained on our servers, or those of our service providers, and is accessible to our authorised employees, representatives and agents. We maintain technical, physical and administrative security measures designed to protect your information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration. These measures include firewalls, data encryption, physical access controls to data centres, and information access authorisation controls.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18, or from anyone who is not legally able to use our Services. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will promptly delete it unless we are legally obliged to retain it. If you believe we have mistakenly collected information from a child, please contact us.

Changes

This Policy is effective as of the date at the top of this page. We may revise it from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised policy on this website, or by email describing the changes. Your continued provision of personal information, or continued use of our Services, following any change indicates that you have read and understood the latest version.
